La Colombe d’Or, a hotel and restaurant in Saint-Paul-de-Vence founded by the Roux family, is as well known for its art as for its hospitality, with artists such as Léger, Matisse, and Picasso gifting works to the owners. A number of Calder’s gouaches adorn the walls, two mobiles hang in the restaurant, and a much-photographed large-scale standing mobile is installed alongside the emerald-green swimming pool.
